Pennsylvania Team Took Third Place Honors at 2008 Canon Envirothon
The five-member team from Penncrest High School, Delaware County, traveled to Flagstaff, Arizona, and took third place honors at the 2008 Canon Envirothon. Team members include Katie Davis, Katie Ferguson, Jennifer Walker, Elizabeth Freeburg, and Alex Senko. The team was coached by Chrissa Kuntz and Mark Samilenko. Envirothon, Accept a Natural Challenge! Envirothon is a fun, academic event. It challenges high school students to think critically about the natural world and their role in it. Envirothon combines in-class curriculum and outdoor training helping students to learn more about Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soil & Land Use, Wildlife, and Current Environmental Issues.
